HAPPY NEW YEAR LNDC FAMILIES!

I am sure that we are all looking forward to saying goodbye to 2020.

Unfortunately, the Provincial Lockdown that ushers in 2021 includes dance studios on the list of "non-essential services”.

Therefore, we will be cancelling all January dance classes.

Teraina will be stopping all monthly credit card payments and cheques.  Those who have paid by semester will be credited the month of January onto their account.

FUTURE PLANS

Fingers crossed that we will be re-opening in February!

If not, my plan is to offer Zoom classes to replace all Recreational classes during the same days/times that they are currently scheduled.

As mentioned in my last newsletter, I am hoping to have an outdoor recital in June.  The kids need to begin learning their "socially-distanced” choreography from home if we are still not able to return to the studio.

Tuition will be charged for February with a small discount.

Similar to the first lockdown, the classes will be recorded and placed on our private LNDC Youtube channel so that the kids can continue to practice throughout the week.

Hopefully, we will be back in class in February and, if not…let’s hope it is only for a short while.

NOTE:  Competitive Dancers will be receiving a separate letter soon that will discuss options for February zooming (if necessary).

I encourage ALL dancers to access the site in January during lockdown to stay healthy, active, and engaged!  There are several different pre-recorded classes, including ballet exam classes, hip hop, jazz and tap classes, and workout videos.

"LET’S KEEP MOVING” JANUARY CHALLENGES!

Back by popular demand…the LNDC Daily Dance Challenges are back!

During the first lockdown, all dancers were encouraged to participate in my challenges and post them on instagram.  All kids who completed the full week were entered into a draw to win a $25.00 gift certificate to the store of their choice.

The results were so creative, and often hilarious!  

Whole families got involved and several healthy rivalries were formed.

CHANGE:  Since the kids are back in school, they will only have to complete three challenges per week instead of 5.

The challenge begins on January 4.
